Joseph Kariuki

Hailing from Nairobi in , I'm a Geospatial Engineer by profession and a Software Engineer by passion. My day-to-day work include writing code, creating maps, and creating content on the side mainly on these two subjects. My coding skills revolve around Python, JavaScript, SQL and I spend most of my time working on Git projects. My career spans across non-governmental organizations and corporate (local and international). I have an array of portfolio projects and code contributions to a number of projects which employ system design, object-oriented programming concepts, version control, DevOps, and others. My goal includes utilizing my skills and abilities to achieve professional growth while being resourceful and flexible and adding a valuable asset to the workplace and transitioning into leadership and product ownership in the ever-growing tech world.

Polygon Spike Remover

QGIS Desktop software plugin that detects and removes spikes from polygons loaded in QGIS and saves the corrected polygons in file system.

Metienne Inspirations

This is an inspirational website and blog with curated content on relationships, opportunities and adventure.

Content creation is something that none of us can free from especially with the tsunami of platforms for such. I periodically publish articles on my blog and through my socials.
